James Zelter Executive Advisory Board

Jim Zelter is Co-President of Apollo Asset Management, co-leading its day-to-day operations, including the Apollo’s revenue-generating businesses and enterprise solutions. Mr. Zelter serves on Apollo’s Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

Since joining Apollo in 2006, Mr. Zelter has led the broad expansion of Apollo’s credit platform, overseeing growth to approximately $480 billion assets under management. Mr. Zelter also co-founded Apollo Women Empower, a network for women in the financial services industry. Prior to Apollo, Mr. Zelter was with Citigroup Inc. and its predecessor companies in a variety of roles including Chief Investment Officer of Citigroup Alternative Investments. Before joining Citigroup, he was a high-yield trader at Goldman Sachs.

He sits on the Board of Directors of DUMAC, in addition to the Duke University Board of Trustees. He also serves on the Board of Partnership for New York City and Board of Fellows of Weill Cornell Medicine, one of the leading academic medical centers in the United States. Additionally, Mr. Zelter sits on the Board of Directors of the Bridge Golf Foundation, which is committed to using the game of golf to improve life outcomes for young men of color in Harlem, New York.

Mr. Zelter earned his degree in Economics from Duke University.
