Lucas Ma

Lucas Ma is a sophomore at Duke University, where he is pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science and a minor in Finance. He is actively involved in investment and finance through roles at the Duke Impact Investing Group and several internship experiences. Upon graduation, Lucas aims to leverage his finance expertise within venture capital and investment banking, focusing on technology-driven industry coverages and high-potential investment opportunities. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is a dedicated musician, singing with the Duke Chapel Choir, and an avid soccer fan.

Caleb Nelson

Caleb is a second-year student at Duke Law and is enrolled in the JD/LLM in Law and Entrepreneurship dual degree program. He intends to practice M&A in Texas and spent his last summer working for a firm in Houston. Prior to law school, Caleb worked with the Baylor Angel Network while earning his B.B.A. in Finance and Economics from Baylor University.

Lauren Onweller

Lauren is a third-year PhD candidate at Duke in Biomedical Engineering. Upon graduation, she intends to work in a data analytics role in biotech consulting. Prior to graduate school, Lauren engaged in a summer internship at a pharmaceutical company working on process optimization and completed an honors thesis and B.S. from Penn State University in the Schreyer Honors College.

Oliver Overheu

Oliver is a first-year MBA student at Duke Fuqua with nearly seven years of experience as a physician and oncology researcher in Germany, recently achieving board certification in internal medicine and hematology and oncology. Passionate about leveraging his clinical background to drive healthcare innovation, he focuses on oncology and precision medicine. Post-MBA, Oliver aims to merge his expertise with business to make impactful strides in healthcare venture capital and the pharmaceutical industry.

Derek (Di) Qin

Di Qin, a senior orthopedic surgeon, brings 14 years of expertise, achieving the rank of Associate Professor & Deputy Director at a Top 5 Orthopedic Hospital in China. He pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). Currently pursuing an MBA at Duke, Di serves as the President of the General Management Club, specializing in healthcare strategy through the Health Sector Management program and Duke I&E Program. He immersed himself in healthcare system operational management, Healthcare startups & entrepreneurship, focusing on strategic healthcare initiatives.

Kaylin Raby

Kaylin is a first-year MBA student at the Fuqua School of Business, where she is developing expertise in the critical intersection of climate and business. Upon graduation, she plans to work within the emerging climate technology ecosystem to rapidly develop, finance, and scale solutions. Prior to Duke, Kaylin worked at Deloitte Consulting in government technology design and sustainability strategy. Her undergraduate degree is in Systems Science & Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Maxwell Roth

Max is a third-year undergraduate student at Duke, where he is pursuing a BA in Economics. Upon graduation, he plans to work in Investment Banking.

Madeleine Sateri

Madeleine is a second-year student at Duke Law, where she is pursuing a JD/LLM in Law & Entrepreneurship. Along with her involvement in Duke Capital Partners, she serves as a teaching assistant for legal writing. Upon graduation, she plans to practice law in Washington D.C. Prior to law school, Madeleine earned her B.B.A from Villanova, where she studied real estate and business law.

Ryan Sidawi

Ryan is a second-year master’s student at Duke University, where he is pursuing a dual degree in Environmental Management and an MBA. Upon graduation, he plans to work in all stages of investing, with a particular focus on supporting the energy transition. Prior to Duke, Ryan worked in various roles at Bank of America and J.P. Morgan after receiving his B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Florida.

Hemasai Suhas

Suhas is an undergraduate studying Computer Science, with interests in public policy, economics & statistics. He works in early-stage investing with Soma Capital, with a broad focus on logistics, energy & technological innovation. In the future, he plans to work in both a venture investing & building in an entrepreneurial role. He enjoys reading, running & (Duke) basketball.
